Accommodation and Respite Services

Short-Term Accommodation (STA)

Accommodation and Short-Term Accommodation (aka Respite) are ever-changing in the NDIS. The sector is really trying to support people in new and innovative ways to have more power and choice when it comes to their home and living supports. At Activated Concepts, Short-Term Accommodation is an area we have been encouraged into by our participants requesting these supports from us. This was due to our consistent staffing, service, and the relationships fostered by our Daily Living and Community Access Support Workers with our participants. Our point of difference in accommodation and respite services is that you will know your workers, helping you feel safe, comfortable, and respected. You will not have strangers turning up for shifts or entering your home—ever. It sounds basic, but sadly it is not standard in the sector. If you (or someone you love) need a break, we would love to hear from you.

Medium-Term Accommodation (MTA)

The NDIS sector is continuously evolving to offer more power and choice in home and living supports. Medium-Term Accommodation (MTA) provides participants with temporary housing solutions, typically for periods of up to 90 days, while they await a long-term housing option. At Activated Concepts, we understand the importance of stable and familiar support during these transitions. Our dedicated team ensures that participants receive consistent and personalized care, fostering a sense of security and comfort during their stay. If you or a loved one needs temporary housing support, we are here to help make the transition as smooth as possible.

Supported Independent Living (SIL)

Supported Independent Living (SIL) is a more common option within the NDIS framework, designed to provide participants with the assistance they need to live as independently as possible. This includes help with daily tasks, personal care, and building life skills. At Activated Concepts, our SIL services are tailored to meet the unique needs of each participant, ensuring they receive the right level of support while maintaining their independence. Our approach is rooted in familiar and trusted relationships, meaning participants will always know their support workers. This consistency helps build a safe, comfortable, and respectful living environment. If you or someone you love would like assistance at home, we are here to provide the support you need to live independently.
